ATP’s 2012-13 Event Schedule

As always, ATP is stoked to announce a season jam packed with park events for skiers & snowboarders of all ages and abilities. All of ATP’s classic event series will be back for 2012-13, with several improvements.

Rome has seriously stepped it up with the Pre Jib concept for this winter. Details are still being finalized, but Bigger Prizes, Cash up for grabs, Recess BBQ Cookout, the “Jib Snake”, and a truly one-of-a-kind park setup can be expected.  What’s a Jib Snake you ask? Well, you are about to find out.

ATP will host a Burton Riglet Park Tour, a mobile product demo and mini-snowboard park geared towards introducing kids as young as 3 to the sport of snowboarding. A custom park area with features designed for small children learning will be constructed especially for the event. Instruction will be offered during a morning and afternoon session, and best of all, its FREE! What better way to get your child started shredding?

SFTC will highlight the “triple crown” of park events once again, with Rail Jam, Big Air, and Slopestyle competitions throughout the entire winter. In order to assure maximum snow depths and best quality setups, all events will occur during January & February. All events will also be scheduled for the Day Session, as in the past some of our Night SFTC events have been affected by inclement weather. ATP will be partnering each SFTC event with a major title sponsor to provide prizes, product, and support for everyone involved.

ATP will host 3 Fresh Fridays, one in December, January, and March this winter. These events will also be partnered with a major title sponsor, bringing a new level of variety & fun. Expect another K2 Pop This! High Ollie Contest, as well as other fun options.

We can’t just call them Ladies Park Nights again, because now ATP is mixing it up and offering a Ladies Park Session during the day this year. Just to add a little variety, and let the ladies see the sun a bit during a dedicated park session!

In lieu of a February Fresh Friday, ATP will be bringing the Red Bull ThingamaJIB back for its second season, with a whole new concept. Expect brand new repurposed features all over the place with a unique and progressive setup for this one. Keep posted for more details as we iron them out.

Coming into its 4th season, the WreckLess will (as always) showcase a custom and versatile slew of features with lots of Cash, prizes, and bragging rights up for grabs. Such a great way to do it right and  wind down into March.

Still a bit ridiculous, and always fun, expect the MDG to host a full weekends worth of events, with Big Air, Pond Skim, High Ollie, and more all for FREE! We are always open to new ideas for fun events to add/change for these games, so if you have any thoughts, send them our way.

In addition to the line-up above, ATP will also be partnering with Never Summer Snowboards as part of their “Signature Feature Photo Jam”, which brings a custom feature built by Never Summer to App Terrain Park, and breaks it in right with a huge session/photo shoot event. Official date for this session is TBD, but will most likely coincide with either a Fresh Friday or SFTC weekend.
