DATE: JAN 4
App Terrain Park will kick off the 9th Annual Shred for the Cup Series on Sunday, January 4 with the Smith Optics / Dakine Rail Jam!
**1-3-15 Update** ATP is getting everything dialed for the event tomorrow! The Rail Jam will take place at the top of the Appaljack Terrain Park, and will offer a nice variety of fun rails & boxes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The forecast is calling for some AM showers that should pull out by the afternoon providing clearer weather for our event! We will be watching the weather like a hawk, and worst-case scenario, we might delay the event start an hour or two to let the weather push on through! Either way, its going to be an awesome time with some great riding going down for sure! See you on the snow
The Shred for the Cup Series has become the benchmark competition series in the region, with 3 events held throughout the winter season that test skiers & snowboarders skills in a variety of park disciplines (Rail Jam, Big Air, and Slopestyle). As always, the series has categories and features that cater to all skill levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) of both skiers & snowboarders, as well as a dedicated Women’s category in both ski and board.
Remember that points are given out for placement at each SFTC event, and are tallied throughout the season to determine the overall series winners that receive the coveted Series Cups!
New for this season, ATP is partering with Mellow Mushroom to provide on-hill pizza for all competitors! Watch out for their mascot ‘Mel’ the Mushroom, who just might take a lap or two with all the riders!
