ATP’s second Fresh Friday of the 2010-11 season showcased one of the most unique and fun park setups ever in Appaljack. The ATP crew worked throughout the week before in the Appaljack Terrain Park, making plenty of snow and putting out several features, 3 of which had never been seen the snow before. Options included: The new 30′ Double Down Z-Kink, the new orange “orbs” one setup on a mellow 4 sided transition, and the other setup as a bonk on a medium table, our 20′ Ledge Wedge, plus all sorts of boxes and a round down flat down rail.
The intense snowstorm Friday night couldn’t stop the shredders from coming out, some who had to park off the side of the road and trek to the slopes due to roadblocks. Around 50 skiers and snowboarders signed up to session the entirely new park.
Riders were killing all features despite the heavy snow
With all the new features, it was hard to pin down just one or two to focus on for the jam session. The decision was made to work down through the whole park, feature by feature, and destroy everything one at a time! Recess Ride Shop was on site to lead the march down the park and hook up standouts on each feature with some prizes.
The new setup will be up for a while, make plans to get out and ride soon! The first event of the SFTC series is also coming soon – on Sunday, February 5.
